Prior to submitting an official application, please contact your EAHR representative to ensure you have completed all necessary components of the EAHR training series. Washington: EvaluationAlliance@rescue.org; Arizona: Az.AsylumNetwork@rescue.org
This form is used to process thousands of volunteer applications to various positions at IRC offices nationwide. To ensure that your application is successfully directed to the EAHR, please carefully complete the following fields:
For the field ‘Please select the office you are applying to', select the EAHR program nearest you. This could be: 'US – Seattle, WA' or 'US – Tucson, AZ'.
For the field 'Please enter the top three positions that interest you', write in "Medical Evaluator" or "Psychological Evaluator" (see screenshot below):
After submission:
Check your inbox to ensure you received an automated email confirming successful submission.
Please notify EAHR staff members at the office to you applied to when you submit, so that we can arrange for your application to be processed as smoothly and promptly as possible.
After submitting the application, IRC staff will contact you to schedule a brief interview. If a mutual fit is confirmed, you will advance in the process.
After your interview, EAHR Staff will run a reference and license check using the information included on your volunteer application; beyond correctly filling out the volunteer application in Step One, no further action is required on your part for these two components.
Once your license and reference checks are complete, you will receive an email from HireRight inviting you to submit an online background check.
Please note, IRC is not privy to the confidential information shared with HireRight. HireRight conducts the background check and informs IRC staff if you have cleared the check. Background checks are conducted on a yearly basis.
After the background check is cleared, you will be sent a volunteer service letter and agreement. The letter outlines your responsibilities, timeframe of the volunteer role, and IRC confidentiality protocols. Please review and sign the letter.
As soon as we receive your signed volunteer agreement, you are officially an EAHR Volunteer Evaluator! New volunteers are paired with mentors and given access to a library of evaluator resources before scheduling their first evaluation, including a wide range of sample affidavits. You will also receive an IRC email address and support setting up a secure system for sharing your affidavit drafts with our team.
